7th March 2009 Windsurfing: Blithfield Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: F3-4 Surf / Sea State: Flat Air Temperature: OK Sea Temperature: V cold Weather: Max Speed: Distance Covered: First time out since November due to knee surgery, coughs and colds and freezing weather. Could barely remember how to fit my kit together. Looked to be barely enough wind for planing so rigged 5.8 for some light wind stuff. In fact there was enough wind to plane in the gusts and I managed a few decent gybes. 6.7m would have been better, but did not fancy re-rigging in the cold and I was happy with a short, easy session after the long lay-off. The water was icy, but did not spend much time in it. Great to be back sailing again. |
